Hi there and welcome to RAM Sports
We are a new sports company that started in June 2021, but the concept has been under development since 2020 when the global pandemic started and all sports ceased.
Initially, the focus for RAM Sports is the disability sport of boccia but we hope to expand the product offerings to other sports, including football. Our concept is to develop tools for sports that will enhance the training and coaching experience. All our products include analytics which have been developed using Microsoft Excel. This enables us to provide a cost effective solution for all types of platforms.
WHO WE ARE
Meet Ross Munro
Ross is a 21 year-old wheelchair user with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He is currently studying towards a degree in Sports Development at the University of the West of Scotland. Ross has been playing the wheelchair sports of boccia and powerchair football since 2013 and is an avid football fan. He hopes to develop a product for football coaches by the end of 2021.
OUR STORY
Sports Coaching & Development
I have played boccia to the highest level nationally with my greatest achievement to date being a bronze medal at the UK Boccia Championships in 2019. I put this success down to the training regime I have been following over the past few years. Along with my Personal Assistant / Coach and my Dad / Coach, we developed routines that helped to improve my game. My progress was charted using Microsoft Excel and this helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses in the sport. In the past year, I have worked on turning my training methods into a product that I can now share with the boccia community so any player can work with a coach or parent and monitor their progress.
